Emergency personnel work Friday evening to free two people from a car after a 2-vehicle wreck on Crooksville Road between Ogg Lane and Muddy Creek Road after a Pontiac coupe collided with a Blue Grass Army Depot security pickup truck. According to Lt. Stacy Quinley of the Berea Fire Department, the driver of the Pontiac and a front-seat passenger were able to get out of the vehicle by themselves while members of the BFD and the Blue Grass Army Depot Fire Department used the Jaws of Life to extricate three passengers from the backseat. They were taken to a local hospital with neck and back injuries. The driver and a passenger in the pickup truck had minor injuries and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. No one involved was thought to have life-threatening injuries.
