Developers of Richmond Centre on Monday announced two new tenants — Panera Bread and Ann’s Hallmark — for the 120-acre retail complex at Exit 87 of Interstate 75.
Panera Bread, which will open a 3,500-square-foot bakery-cafe in September, recently was named the nation’s healthiest fast-food restaurant by “Health” magazine, according to a press release from Crosland LLC, one of the complex’s developers. It will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Panera will join two already-open restaurants — Culver’s, Logan’s Roadhouse — and three previously announced eateries — Chick-fil-A, Olive Garden and Koto Japanese Bistro.
Koto Japanese Bistro, a 4,500-square-foot restaurant in the development’s Village section is expected to open in May.
It will offer Japanese cuisine filet mignon and shrimp for lunch and dinner from a teppanyaki grill or fresh fish and ocean delicacies prepared before the customer’s eyes at a sushi bar, according to the press release.
An independent, locally owned business, it also will offer entertaining hibachi style dining in which chefs trained to rapidly manipulate knives and other utensils prepare food on an iron griddle at the customer’s table.
A 7,450-square-foot Olive Garden will open in September on a 1.7-acre outparcel.
Chick-fil-A, at 4,600 square feet, should open sometime in the fall, according to the press release.
Hastings Entertainment also operates a coffee shop inside its business.
Ann’s Hallmark will open a 5,200-square-foot location in early fall, the release stated.
In addition to greeting cards, it also will offer wrapping paper, gifts, candles and decorative items for the home as well as paper party supplies.
Crosland leasing agent Charles Thrift said Meijer, one of Richmond Centre’s major anchors, had informed the developers it would start construction on its facility near the corner of Barnes Mill Road and Goggins Lane in mid-May.

Man is indicted on additional sex charge involving teen in 1998
A man already accused of sex abuse in November 2011 has been indicted on a charge of first-degree rape involving a child in 1998.
Charles W. Peyton, 63, of East Irvine Street, was indicted Wednesday by a Madison grand jury. He used “forcible compulsion” to have sexual intercourse with a 14-year-old girl between March 1 and May 1 in 1998, according to the indictment.
