Tim and Ruth Walker are the featured speakers for the annual Lenten Luncheon Series on Wednesday, March 13 at the Berea United Methodist Church.
The luncheon begins at Noon in the Parish House, 101 Fee Street, Berea, with a brief program including special music. Following the program, a light lunch will be provided. Those attending should be able to see the program, enjoy a meal, and return to work within 45 minutes; the event ends around 12:45 P.M. Reservations are not necessary; simply come and join in the spirit of community and in celebration of the season of Lent. The theme for 2013 is “Where Love and Mercy Meet.”
Tim and Ruth Walker are members of Silver Creek Baptist Church. They love the Lord and have been involved in music ministry for many years, singing southern gospel music at their church and other local churches. They provide music and puppets in their Children's Church program and Vacation Bible School.
March 13 they will be singing their favorite songs as well as sharing their testimony of the challenges they have faced during the past year.
Future speakers for the Lenten series include Warren May, local dulcimer maker and businessman, on March 20. Dr. Sarah Little of St. Joseph Berea Family Medicine is the final speaker on March 27.
