RICHMOND —

Charlotte Faye VanZant, 62, wife of Ricky Lane VanZant, died Sunday,November 25, 2012, at her home Sumter, S.C.

Born in Richmond, Ky., she was a daughter of the late Luther Dee Wilson and the late Frances Ada Hodges Wilson. She was retired from Dollar General in Sumter.

 Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Carla Castle of Richmond, Ky. and Mary Dick of Cynthiana, Ky.; five grandchildren, Brittany, Noah Lane, Gregory, Kasey Beth, and Alex Renee; a great-grandchild, Madison; a brother, Jackie Wilson of Richmond, Ky.; and two sisters, Sue Witt and Gail Stamper both of Richmond, Ky.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ray Wilson and Larry Wilson; and a sister, Geneva Purciful.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m.. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel in Sumter with Chaplain Bill Bennett officiating.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium is in charge of arrangements.

    Cleveland “June” Perkins Jr., 87, husband of 63 years to Ima Jean Horn Perkins, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
    He was born April 25, 1926, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Cleveland Perkins Sr., and Lena Lowery Perkins.
    Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961.

    She was born on May 6, 1931, in Berea, Kentucky, and lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Ella and Harry Lamb. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Oswald Lamb who died when Betty was a child.

    Mrs. Lange was born in Winchester, Ky., on Sept. 18, 1939, to the late J.B. and Ruth Esther Black Hatton.
