Earl Burns, 82

Richmond

RICHMOND — Earl Burns, 82, of Richmond, passed away suddenly Thursday, November 15, 2012 in his home.

He was born June 7, 1930, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Robert & Ann Rose Burns, both of whom preceded him in death.

Earl was a retired painting contractor and a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to golf and enjoyed sports of all kinds. Earl also enjoyed eating with his “breakfast club” buddies.

In addition to his wife, JoAnn Brunner Burns, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Jerome Burns, two sisters and one brother.

Survivors include: his son, Jeff Earl Burns (Lorena) of Richmond; his daughter, Lisa Wenczel (Chris) of New York; two grandchildren, Amanda Burns and Shawn Wenczel; as well as four great-granddaughters, Emily Burns, Natalie Delaney, Olivia Delaney and Charly Delaney.

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 21, 2012, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Michael Barnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
