Edith Russell “E.R.” McKinney Begley, 92, died November 19, 2009, in Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born January 25, 1917, in Richmond, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Roger Hanson and Lura Dozier McKinney.
She was a retired legal secretary, an avid bridge player and golfer and a member of First Christian Church. Survivors include: a son, M. Scott (Donna) Duncan of Versailles, Ky.; a daughter, Jimmie Lou (Ron) Abney of Stanford, Ky.; a brother, Roger (Eleanor) McKinney of Richmond, Ky.; two grandchildren, M. Scott (Carol) Duncan, Jr., and Bryan (Tiffany) Duncan; five great-grandchildren, Morgan, Aiden, Liam, Eric and Kate Duncan; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by: her husbands, Archie C. Duncan and James G. Begley.
The funeral service was conducted Monday at Stith Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerry Shepard and the Rev. Kristi Stuckel. Burial followed in Bellevue Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday at the funeral home.
