Lewis (L.B.) Sweat, 77

Lewis (L.B.) Sweat died Thursday, November 19, 2009, at Kenwood Nursing Home, Richmond, Ky., after a recent battle with cancer.
Born December 25, 1931, he was the son of George Henley and Mary Luella Parkey Sweat. His parents, along with nine of his brothers and sisters have preceded him in death. His sisters were Henley, Ruby, Betsy, Lena and Gladys. His brothers were Jim, Troy, Dewey and Edgar. He had a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives. He had many friends in Madison and Fayette County and Cynthiana, Ky.
He was a retired farmer and enjoyed his work and helping others. He was a good friend and fun to be around.
May it be that each of us, family and friends and acquaintances, take time to mourn and grieve our loss in his or her own way. His end of life request has been honored.
He will surely be missed by all of us!

Imogene Perkins Halstead born March 23, 1928, died Feb. 8, 2012, at the age of 83. She passed away peacefully in The Terrace after a long illness. She had made her home in Berea, was a member of the Westside Baptist Church, and was the widow of Edwin Walter Halstead.

Etta Ree Golden, 98, of Russell Springs, died on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2012, at Twin Oaks Assisted Living in New Castle. She is survived by one sister and two brothers of Richmond. Funeral services will be Monday, Feb. 13, 2012, at Prewitt New Castle Funeral Home. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012 at the same place.
