Diane Peavley, 56

Diane Peavley, 56, of Rutledge, Tenn., formerly of Richmond, passed away suddenly Friday, November 13, 2009, in Hawkins County, Tenn.

Ms. Peavley was born May 17, 1953, in Madison County, Ky., the daughter Sarah Moore Peavley and the late James Elmo Peavley. She worked for the postal service in Richmond for a number of years. Ms. Peavley was an accomplished artist and a musician. She had taught guitar lessons at Currier’s Music World. Ms. Peavley worked with Indian artifacts and dream catchers. She hand-carved, painted and decorated gourds.

In addition to her mother, Ms. Peavley is survived by: one brother, James Peavley of Richmond; niece, Leslie Hamilton (Ray) of Richmond; great-niece, Paisley Hamilton of Richmond; and good friends, Sandy Seyfrit, Belinda Rice, Dottie Jones, Jane Patton and Dianna Brewer Mansfield.

A memorial service for Ms. Peavley will be conducted at 1 p.m., Friday, November 20, 2009, at Turpin, Vice & Fritz Funeral Home, with Pastor Harry Hoover officiating. Burial will follow in Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Friday, at the funeral home. www.TurpinViceFritz.com.

    Inez Cass McKinney, “Mim,” beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 94, died peacefully with her family at her side Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Lexington. She fought a long and courageous battle with COPD. She was born August 26, 1915, in Rockcastle County. She was the daughter of the late Owen R. Cass and Lela Albright Cass. Inez was a long-time resident of Holly Hill Drive in Berea, Ky. She spent her most recent years at McCready Manor in Richmond, Ky, Tanbark Health Care Center in Lexington and Richmond Place Skilled Nursing Center in Lexington.

    Keren Margaret Poulter, 43, of Richmond, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, in Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
    She was born in Wombwell, England, on September 27, 1966, and held her Master's degree in social work. She was an employee of the Community Action Council at Millersburg, and attended the First United Methodist Church of Richmond.

    Michael David Salyer, 62, husband of Hannah M. “Marg” (Sullivan) Salyer of Richmond, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
    He was born in Ashland, Ky., May 29, 1947, to the late William Lewis and Opal Eloise (Greene) Salyer. For nearly 16 years, Michael had been the owner and operator of Mike’s Warehouse Liquor in Richmond, and a former employee of A K Steel in Ashland, where he worked for 22 years.
