George Burns Jr., 62, of Goggins Lane, Richmond, the husband of Ruth (Lawson) Burns, passed away Sunday, October 25, 2009, in Saint Joseph Hospital, Lexington.
He was born in Berea, Ky., March 4, 1947, and was retired from Concrete Materials.
In addition to his loving wife, Ruth, George is survived by: one daughter, Teresa Ann Johnson (Brian); one son, Johnny James Burns (Tonia); his mother, Lillie Robinson; one grandson, Tyler Wayne Meyer; and two brothers, Amos Ray Burns and Dewey Wayne Robinson.
He was preceded in death by: his father, George Burns Sr.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with Bro. Bobby Greene and Bro. Bruce Alcorn officiating.
Pallbearers will be Joe Lawson, Bobby Lawson, Wyley Burns, Earl Burns, Clayton Robinson and Tuffy Burns.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
