MADISON COUNTY —
Anna Winkler French, 87, widow of James French, died early Friday, February 1, 2013, at the Central Baptist Hospital, in Lexington, Ky.
Mrs. French was born November 21, 1925, the daughter of the late Alfred and Martha French Winkler, in Estill County, Ky.
She was a member of Speedwell Christian Church. Mrs. French loved bowling in the Women’s Bowling League, in which she participated for many years. She bowled competitively for both the Early Birds and the Galaxy Girls.
Mrs. French is survived by: two sons, Ronnie French and Danny French, both of Richmond; one daughter, Velma Cruse (Fletcher), Berea; two brothers, Alfred Winkler, Liberty, Ind., and Jennings Winkler, Brownsville, Ind.; two sisters, Ruth Bogie, Franklin, Ohio, and Margaret Richardson, Miamisburg, Ohio; six grandchildren, Brian Cruse, Eric Cruse (Barb), Shella Cobb (Chris), Travis French (Christy), Brandon French (Tabitha) and Annjanette Matthews (Randall); seven great-grandchildren, Caleb, Forde, Kinsey, Rachael, Dakota, Laura Mae and Nicholas; and four stepgreat-grandchildren. John, Cara, Morgan and Tabin, Randall Jr., and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death one son Donald French; one brother Vernon Winkler, and one sister Geneva Hisle.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Monday, February 4, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, with Dennis Pasley and Bro. Maurice Dula officiating. Burial will follow in Madison County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
Mrs. French’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers will be John Maupin, Jimmy Chrisman, Larry Chrisman, Bob Berryman, Mike French, Gary Roop, and John Kay.

Cleveland “June” Perkins Jr., 87, husband of 63 years to Ima Jean Horn Perkins, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
He was born April 25, 1926, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Cleveland Perkins Sr., and Lena Lowery Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961. -

She was born on May 6, 1931, in Berea, Kentucky, and lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Ella and Harry Lamb. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Oswald Lamb who died when Betty was a child. -

He was born in New Haven, Conn., to the late Ernest Munro and Helen Rackiewicz Murray. -

Mrs. Lange was born in Winchester, Ky., on Sept. 18, 1939, to the late J.B. and Ruth Esther Black Hatton. -
