Jesse Ray Gibson, 90, of Berea, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington. He was a native of Madison County and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a carpenter by trade and he loved wood working.
Mr. Gibson is survived by his sons, John, Thomas, and Harry Gibson all of Berea; his daughters, Catherine Gibson of Berea, and Ruth Elaine DAmbriso of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Brooklyn Gibson of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Michel DAmbriso and Cory DAmbriso of Columbus, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his wife Ellamae Ruth Donnerberg Gibson, and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services for Mr. Gibson will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Evangelist Sally Tussey officiating.
Burial will follow in the Berea Cemetery with military honors.
