RICHMOND —
Nathan Cain, age 69, made his journey home on Thursday, Dec. 20, in Wildwood, Fla.
He worked in the Pest Control industry most of his life. During the last several years, Nathan loved working hand-in-hand with his son Rodney. Nathan resided in Fruitland Park, Fla., with his wife, and was a member of the Lady Lake Church of God.
He is the son of Wilson Tate and Katie (Hunter) Cain of Waco. He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Darlene (Van Winkle) Cain; his son, Rodney Cain (Jennifer); granddaughters Anystan and Brooklyn Cain. He loved and raised four children as his own, Keith (Sue), Eugene (Denay), Steve (Tabby) Parke, Lisa (Mark) Myers; and grandchildren, Nathaniel Keith, Chelsea, E.J., Cassie, Catellyn, Wyatt, Caylyn, Dillion, Virginia, Joshua, Corey, Shawn, Steven and Brittany; and 14 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by nine sisters, two brothers and many nieces and nephews.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one granddaughter, Mary Lee Shackleford.
Visitation will be held at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home on Saturday, Jan. 5, from 3 until 4:30 p.m. with services starting at 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Nathan’s Honor to the Lady Lake Church of God Missionary fund for Bro. Badder’s Orphanage.
