MADISON COUNTY — Wilma Blanton, 71



Wilma Dunn Blanton, 71, wife of 50 years to Jack Blanton, died Wednesday, January 2, 2013, at home.

Mrs. Blanton was born September 8, 1941, in Jackson County, the daughter of the late Zack and Elsie Isaacs Dunn. She enjoyed sharing and singing as a member of Valley View Holiness Church. She also loved quilting, gardening roses and reading her Bible. Mrs. Blanton will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by: two sons, Wayne Blanton (Ladonna) and Mark Blanton (Sandra), both of Richmond; two brothers, Kevin Dunn, McKee, and Jerry Dunn (Joetta), of Richmond; four sisters, Theresa Wilson (Jeff), Deanna Warden (Johnny), Bertha Humphrey (Sonny) and Wanda Buttrey; eight grandchildren, LaQuetta Stamper, Sirena Blanton, Jack Blanton, Steven Shelton, Jennifer Harvey, Savannah Blanton, Justin Roberts, and Joseph Roberts; six great-grandchildren, Amber Blanton, Salem Schaeffer, Destiny Schaeffer, Heaven Schaeffer, Lane Harvey and Landen Shelton; son-in law Wesley Shelton, and sister-in-law Debbie Morris.

Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by: one daughter, Joyce Ann Shelton; three brothers, Kenny Dunn, Lyndon Dunn and Lonnie Dunn; and one sister, Leola Lovitt.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons  & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Cecil Burns and Bro. Tim Lamb officiating. Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Jack Blanton, Steven Shelton, Jerry Steven Dunn and Wesley Shelton. www.cpcfh.com

    He was born April 25, 1926, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Cleveland Perkins Sr., and Lena Lowery Perkins.
    Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961.

    She was born on May 6, 1931, in Berea, Kentucky, and lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Ella and Harry Lamb. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Oswald Lamb who died when Betty was a child.

    Mrs. Lange was born in Winchester, Ky., on Sept. 18, 1939, to the late J.B. and Ruth Esther Black Hatton.
