Rose Schroedel, 64

Lancaster

RICHMOND — Rose Schroedel, 64, of Lancaster, passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012, in her home.

She was born on November 4, 1948, in Madison County, the daughter of the late Allen C. and Christine Marshall Collins. She was the owner-operator of Tri-County Care and was a member of Lambert’s Chapel Methodist Church. She was a caring person who loved to help others.

Survivors include: four children, Lori Schroedel, Donna Day, Kenny Himes and Christina Jenkins; 10 siblings: Melvin Collins, Tobe Collins, Tony Collins, Jimmy Collins, Mable Tribble, Stella Hopper, Lilly Hoskins, Ruth Richardson, Debbie Collins and Ada Collins; seven grandchildren, Carina Schroedel, Aaron Schroedel, Ashley Schroedel, Amanda Day, Jonathon Day, Destinee Jenkins and Grace Jenkins; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service 8 p.m. Wednesday evening, November 21, 2012, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Gifford officiating.

Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

    She was born on March 16, 1926 in Laurel County, the youngest of five children, born to the late William Albert and Nora Bowman Warren.

    He was born April 12, 1926, in Rockcastle County to Charles and Pearl Day Thacker, both of whom preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Hutchinson Thacker, and one daughter, Brenda Kay Dargavell.
