Louella Tudor, 98

Berea resident since 1943

BEREA — Louella Graves Tudor, died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at the Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility in Berea at the age of 98.

She was born on April 12, 1914, in Garrard County the youngest child of Charles Washington and Annie Belle Fields Graves and was the last of her generation of her Graves family. Her parents came to Garrard County in about 1889 from Fleming County. She was the widow of Donald Reid Tudor who died April 9, 1989.

Louella had been a resident of Berea since 1943 and was retired from Parker Seal Co. of Berea and a member of Wayside Christian Church.

She is survived by two daughters: Joyce Tudor Pilling (Ben) of Elizabethtown, Donna Tudor Terry (George) of Loveland, Ohio; her son, Gerald Tudor (Creola) of Berea; grandchildren, Lynne Tudor Wilson (Hugh) of Garrard County, Lawrence Woodson Tudor (Carol) of Kissimmee, Fla., David Keith Tudor of Garrard County, Kathleen Graves Tudor of Berea, Donald Roderic Thomas II of Louisville, Terrance Jeffrey Thomas of California, Theresa Susanne Thomas Tippett of Shelbyville, Rick Curtis Sergent, Russell Alan Sergent (Peggy), and Anthony Ray Sergent (Karen) of West Milton, Ohio, Steven William Sergent (Janet) of Woodstock, Georgia, Kenneth Lee Sergent (Martha) of Independence, Douglas Wayne Henson (Donna) of Berea, Luanne Henson Hacker (Jesse) of Beattyville. Thirty-four great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Ann Marilyn Tudor Sergent (James Curtis); a grandson, Michael Reid Sergent (Janet) of Sidney, Montana; a granddaughter, Jennifer Kay Thomas; and a great-grandson, Joshua Michael Sergent.

Funeral services for Mrs. Tudor will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at the Davis & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Ronald Lutes officiating.     Mrs. Lange was born in Winchester, Ky., on Sept. 18, 1939, to the late J.B. and Ruth Esther Black Hatton.
