MADISON COUNTY —
Barbara McQueen Withers, 65, widow of Leon Withers, died Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, in the Compassionate Care Center.
Mrs. Withers was born November 7, 1947, in Madison County, Ky., the daughter of David and Edna Wilson McQueen. She worked several years for the City of Richmond in the department of Human Resources, and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: one son, David Withers (Ashleigh); a daughter, Sheryl Withers Woolverton (James); a stepson: Benjamim Withers (Jennifer); one sister, Kay McQueen Emmitt (Billy); one grandson, Andrew Withers; and three step-grandchildren, Hugh, William and Leon Withers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Fort officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Billy Emmitt, J.D. Harris, Jimmy Harris, Brian Herald, Chris Thompson and Robert Withers.
