Dorothy Evelyn Elliott James, 81

RICHMOND — Dorothy Evelyn Elliott James, 81, wife of Tony B. James, passed away Sunday evening in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center.

Dorothy was born on July 20, 1931, in Hickman County to the late Henry and Lucy Clark Elliott.

She was a homemaker and a former employee of the EKU Bookstore and was a member of the Richmond First Presbyterian Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived b:y two sons, Mike James (Susan), Charlotte N.C., Steve James, Corbin, Ky.; one daughter, Donna DePine, Charleston S.C.; three brothers, John, Elree and Bill Elliott; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, James Elliott, and two sisters, Margaret Moore and Genova Smith.

Funeral services for Mrs. James will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Dr. Curtis Christian and Bro. Jim Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Shane Lakes, Dale Lakes, Wesley James, Ryan James, Jim Smith, and Irvin Whicker.
