RICHMOND —
Dwayne Cecil Parke, 53, of Richmond, passed away Friday evening, March 15, 2013, in the St. Joseph-East Hospital of Lexington.
Dwayne was born January 10, 1960, in Madison County. He was a retired employee of the Kentucky Dept. of Transportation. He loved car racing, the UK Wildcats and enjoyed watching TV.
Survivors include: his mother, Jane Zeigler (Bill Milton); one son, Gary Wayne Parke; one daughter, Jamie Parms (Josh); two brothers, Christopher and Gary Parke; one sister, Vickie Evans (Robin); and two grandchildren, Kaylee and Sidney; aunts and uncles, Darlene May (Neal) and Kathleen Dixon; one nephew, Matt Farthing; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, J.C. Parke, and a sister, Teresa P. Farthing.
Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Scott Guiley officiating.
Burial will follow in the Flatwoods Cemetery of Waco.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Garnett Ray Portwood, Terry Portwood, Lonnie Portwood, Marvin Ray Dixon and Robin Evans.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the all the doctors, nurses and hospital staff who cared for Dwayne.
