Ronald Ray Kelly, 68, passed away on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, in the Veteran’s Hospital of Lexington, Ky. He was born in Fayette County and resided there for the past 12 years. Prior to coming home to Kentucky, he resided in Maryland and was self-employed.
Mr. Kelly was in the United States Marine Corps for four years and earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the Rifle Marksman Badge.
He is survived by: his daughter, Trish Schoen (Mark); three granddaughters, Lindsay, Lexie and Logenn; four brothers, Butch and Jim Marcum, Terry Kinnett and Daryell Sparks; and two sisters, Doris Naylor and Mary Olds.
His funeral service was conducted on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at the Connelly Funeral Home in Dundalk, Md.
