William F. Deemer, of Old Railroad Grade Road in Paint Lick, passed away, Monday, December 17, 2012, in Berea, Ky.
He was the son of the late William F. and Elizabeth Vonlan Deemer and was born, Tuesday, September 28, 1937, in Pittsburgh, Pa.
He proudly served our country in the Air Force, was a nurse anesthetist at Pattie A. Clay Hospital in Richmond; an elder and member at Paint Lick Presbyterian Church. He was an avid reader and enjoyed reading American history and American English. He also was a master gardener and spent many hours working on his plants and trees. William was also very active in breeding his Irish wolfhounds. He was recognized nationally for his champion dogs. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, John Deemer.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty Rowe Deemer of Paint Lick; brother James Deemer of Sewickley, Pa.; brother-in-law Ronald J. Rowe (Sandra) of Vandergrift, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m., Friday, December 21, 2012, at Paint Lick Presbyterian Church in Paint Lick, with the Rev. Bryce McGowan officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, December 20, 2012, at the church.
Ramsey Funeral Home will honor cremation rites after the funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Paint Lick Presbyterian Church in Paint Lick, Ky., or Hope Lodge for the American Cancer Society in Lexington, Ky.

Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961. -

She was born on May 6, 1931, in Berea, Kentucky, and lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Ella and Harry Lamb. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Oswald Lamb who died when Betty was a child. -
