Lawrence Burton Gadd, age 57, son of the late Marion and Dorothy Gadd, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, in the St. Joseph Berea hospital.
Burt had been employed at Motor Wheel and had been a bus driver at Berea Community School. He was a member of the Liberty Avenue Baptist Church. Burt loved sports and had been a Little League baseball coach and enjoyed watching the UK Wildcats basketball and football teams.
Burt was preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Dorothy McQueen Gadd, and his brother, Marion Edward “Toe” Gadd.
Burt is survived by: his brothers and sisters, Faye Lainhart, Lorene (Lowell) Thomas, Frieda (Ed) Thomas, Pat (Billy) Robbins, Robert (Belinda) Gadd, Brenda (Jimmy) Reed, Donna Kaye Gadd, Carl Lee Gadd and Kenny Gadd; and a sister-in-law Brenda Gadd.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ron Devere, Jerry Abrams, Mike Coyle, Billy Linville, Tom Gadd and Wes Webb.
Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Online register book at www.lakesfuneralhome.com.
