Letha Warford Goins Hatton, 88

Richmond

RICHMOND —

Letha Warford Goins Hatton, 88, of Richmond, widow of George Hatton, passed away Sunday morning in Baptist Health Richmond.

She was born on July 12, 1924, in Estill County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Westside Christian Church.

Survivors include: one son, Wayne Douglas Goins of Nicholasville; one brother, Calvin “Buster” Lynch  (Katherine); two sisters, Hallie Goins and Betty Baker (Millard); 12 grandchildren, Wendell Douglas “Bump” Goins, Jeffery Robert Goins, Gregory Allen Goins, Robert Randy Goins, Jamie Carroll Overpeck, Crystal Faye Bugg, Mickey Paulee Goins, Robert Lee Rose, Richard Lee Rose, Timmy Rose, Teresa Rose and Diane Rose; several great-grandchildren and her extended family including Louise Clay Hensley, Kathy Lynn Hensley, Sandra Faye Lunsford and Anna Louise Means as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Linnie Warford; one son, Robert Wendell Goins; husband, Robert Goins; one daughter, Dorothy Lee Goins Rose; one brother, Robert Lee Lynch and two sisters, Fairy Burge and Lucy Marcum.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Matt Vaught officiating. Burial will follow in the Walton Cemetery in Estill County.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be: Wendell “Bump” Goins, Richard Lee Rose, Robert Lee Rose, Timmy Rose, Ronald Eades, Nicholas Jones, Eric Pasley and Jacob Moberly. www.cpcfh.com

    He was born April 25, 1926, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Cleveland Perkins Sr., and Lena Lowery Perkins.
    Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961.

    Mrs. Lange was born in Winchester, Ky., on Sept. 18, 1939, to the late J.B. and Ruth Esther Black Hatton.
