RICHMOND —
Arnold Pearson Hill, 97, of Richmond, the widow of William Ray Hill, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in her home.
She was born Jan. 22, 1915, in Madison County, to Scudder and Pearl Jones Pearson, both of whom preceded her in death.
Mrs. Hill was a retired school teacher, having served the children of the former Dodd School from 1934 to 1942. From 1946 to 1973, she taught at Waco Elementary School. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Madison County Retired Teachers Association, the Women’s Club of Richmond, and the Kentucky Retired Teachers Association.
She is survived by: two sons, Glenn C. Hill (Doris) and Clyde P. Hill, both of Richmond; three grandchildren, Bonnie Louise Zito, William Glenn Hill and Sharon Michelle Ballinger; as well as, three great-grandchildren, Devin S. Ballinger, Amber B. Ballinger and Nicholas Ray Zito.
In addition to her husband, Ray, and her parents, she was preceded in death by: six brothers, Carl Pearson, Dewey Pearson, Clay Pearson, Scudder Pearson, William “Bill” Pearson and John “Jack” Pearson; and four sisters, Marie Turpin, Virginia Baker, Katherine Reager and Christine Wilcox.
Services for Mrs. Hill will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Mark Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren William Hill, Bonnie Hill, Devin Ballinger, Amber Ballinger; and nephews Franklin Turpin and William Wilcox.
The family suggests donations in her memory to Hospice Care Plus, 208 Kidd Drive, Berea, KY 40403.

Cleveland “June” Perkins Jr., 87
Cleveland “June” Perkins Jr., 87, husband of 63 years to Ima Jean Horn Perkins, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
He was born April 25, 1926, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Cleveland Perkins Sr., and Lena Lowery Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961. -

She was born on May 6, 1931, in Berea, Kentucky, and lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Ella and Harry Lamb. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Oswald Lamb who died when Betty was a child. -

He was born in New Haven, Conn., to the late Ernest Munro and Helen Rackiewicz Murray. -

Mrs. Lange was born in Winchester, Ky., on Sept. 18, 1939, to the late J.B. and Ruth Esther Black Hatton. -

She was the mother of William K. Rieker (Cindy) of Lexington.
