RICHMOND —
Douglas Edmond “Doug” Reams, 76, passed away Tuesday, January 1, 2013, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center.
He was a member of Trinity Missionary Baptist Church and he worked as a heavy Equipment Operator for over 40 years, he also was a Farmer.
Doug is survived by: his wife, Donna Stone Reams of Richmond; daughter, Donna Jean (Jerry) Reams of Richmond; sons Gary (Maryann) Reams of Richmond, Eddie (Sherri) Reams of Irvine; stepsons Marty (Esther) Castle of Richmond, Danny (Sherry) Castle of Richmond; brother Raymond (Gladys) Reams of Richmond, sister Florene Johnson of Oklahoma City, Okla., sister Helen Prewitt of Georgetown, brother Ralph (Joyce) Reams of Richmond, sister-in-law Thelma Reams of Richmond and a host of nieces and nephews.
Doug was the son of the late Charles Edmond and Myrtle Cottongim Reams.
Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 3, at Oldham, Roberts and Powell Funeral Home, 1110 Barnes Mill Road, Richmond, Ky. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Gary Reams, Eddie Reams, Marty Castle, Danny Castle, Matthew Castle and Wayne Hobbs. Honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Reams, Jerry Reams, Ronnie Reams, Ralph Reams and Ralph Isaacs.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Compassionate Care Center, 350 Issacs Lane, Richmond, KY 40475.
