Robert Lee Burns, 82

Robert Lee Burns, 82, of Richmond, husband of Irene Minton Burns, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009, in London, Ky.

Robert was born June 6, 1927, in Hamilton County, Ohio, to Gentry and Maggie Rose Burns. He was of the Christian faith and was a retired employee of Westinghouse-Phillips Lighting. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army.

In addition to his wife, Irene, Robert is survived by: one daughter, Rhonda Gay Barcenas of Richmond, Ky.; son, Robert Timothy “Tim” Burns (Gayle) of Richmond, Ky.; stepchildren, Donnie Minton, Gwen Hoskins and Albert Moore; brothers, Charlie and Randol Burns; sisters, Jeanette Holland, Rosetta Baker, Georgia Rhodus, Jimmie Murphy and Helen Harrison; grandchildren, Shawn Barcenas, Drew Boggs, Rusty Boggs, Allen Burns, Maggie Burns, Kayla Davidson, Tiffani Moore, Ashley Minton and Josh Minton; and great-grandchildren, Jaden Minton, Katelyn Minton, Seth Boggs and Allison Boggs.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, June 29, 2009, at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Mark Pearson officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Doug Rhodus, Kevin Burns, Greg Murphy, Neal Burns, Michael Burns, Matthew Burns, Russell Thomas and Josh Minton.
