Eugene “Gene” Todd, 74, of Irvine Road, husband of Nada L. Moore Todd, passed away Saturday, March 1, 2008, at his home.
He was born at Bybee, in Madison County, on June 11, 1933, to the late Preston and Mary Francis Conner Todd. He was the former owner and operator of the Maverick Club and Todd’s Auto Body Repair.
In addition to his loving wife, Nada, he is survived by two daughters: Ruby Jean Todd Newcomb (and Butch) and Tammy Jean Todd Roberts (and Dylan), both of Richmond; one son, Randy Dean Gulley of Connersville, Indiana; three brothers: Price Todd of Waco, Bill and Carlos Todd, both of Kingston. Mr. Todd also leaves eight grandchildren: Ricky Heath Todd, Clint McMaine, Nikki and Damien McLean, Malachi Francis, Emerald Johnson, Brianna and Lexie Roberts; three great-grandchildren: Zoe and Evan McMaine and Brinkley Todd, as well as several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Gene Todd, one sister, Pearl Webb, and one brother, Bobby Joe Todd.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Allene Cain Coon officiating. Burial will follow in the Richmond Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dylan Ray Roberts, Ricky Heath Todd, Clint McMaine, Allen Buddy Marras, Malachi Vaughn Francis and Price Alex Todd. Honorary bearers will be Randy Dean Gulley, Butch Newcomb and Daniel Coon.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
