RICHMOND —
Odessa Walton Burton, 65, passed away, Wednesday, November 28, 2012, in her home.
She was born at Preachersville, Ky., on August 1,1947, the daughter of the late J. T. and Louise Wallace Walton. She was a homemaker, a retired
employee of Square D. Company and a member of the Lancaster Baptist Church.
Survivors include: her loving companion James P. Chasteen; one son, Scott King (Tammy); one daughter, Angie K. Ray (Jerry Brandendburg); two brothers, Calvin Walton (Martha) and Jake Michael Walton; two sisters, Rose Ray (Dwight) and Wanda Johnson; six grandchildren: Scott Brandenburg, Beth Brandenburg, Lenzy Cain, J. T. Napier, Gabrielle Napier and Gunnar King; one great-grandchild, Jerrett Brandenburg. She was awaiting the arrival of her second great-grandchild. She also is survived by a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Mary Alice Napier; two brothers, Jim and Benny Walton; two sisters, Shirley Robinson and Delsie Coffey.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. Bill Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at the Flatwoods Cemetery at Waco.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Brandenburg, Chad Brandenburg, J.T. Napier, Wayne Oliver, Jack Howard and Ricky Carpenter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jerry Allen Perrin, Mark Burkhart, Jerry Daugherty and Frankie Napier.
