RICHMOND —
Ernest G. “Ernie” Augustine, husband of Linda Carol Augustine, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
He was born on March 19, 1936, to the late Russell and Helen Fries Augustine Sr. Ernie was a member of the College Hill United Methodist Church and he was retired from the State of West Virginia Department of Highways.
Other than his wife Carol, survivors include: two sons, Gusty Augustine of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Jeff Augustine (Kim) of Charleston, W.Va.; one daughter, Kathy Runion (Steve) of Waverly, W.Va.; two sisters, Emma McClain of Irvine, Ky. and Betty Rollins of Parkersburg, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Jessica Hinkle, Lisa Augustine, Dr. Nick Pickrell, Justin Augustine and Emily Augustine; two step-grandchildren, Caleb Runion and Brittnie Saliba; one great-grandchild, Sophia Hinkle; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Jeff Augustine, Justin Augustine, Steve Runion, and Lee Anglin.
The family would like to thank the fabulous people at Hospice Compassionate Care Center for the wonderful care given to Ernie and the entire family.

Cleveland “June” Perkins Jr., 87, husband of 63 years to Ima Jean Horn Perkins, died Monday, May 20, 2013.
He was born April 25, 1926, in Madison County, Ky., the son of the late Cleveland Perkins Sr., and Lena Lowery Perkins.
Mr. Perkins was a member of the Fountain Park Church of God. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served in WWII and served as constable in the 8th district from 1957-1961. -

Betty Jean Lamb Johnson, age 82, died May 18, 2013, after a long illness.
She was born on May 6, 1931, in Berea, Kentucky, and lovingly raised by her paternal grandparents, Ella and Harry Lamb. She was the daughter of the late Harrison Oswald Lamb who died when Betty was a child. -
