Crab Orchard —

Ormand E. Van Winkle, 64, of Crab Orchard, died Thursday, January 10, 2013, in his home.

Mr. Van Winkle was born March 16, 1948, in Stanford, Ky., son of the late William Clinton and Carmen Rader Van Winkle. He was a farmer and retired construction worker.

He is survived by: one daughter, Glenna Gayle Daff (Jimmy), Richmond; three brothers, Donald Van Winkle, Fruitland Park, Fla., Charles Van Winkle (Judy), Richmond, and Robert Van Winkle (Linda), Berea; four sisters: Iona Million, Universal City, Texas, Georgia Lunsford (Bert G.), Berea, Betty Alexander (Earl), Richmond, Carmen Marshall (Ricky), Waco; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, William Curtis Van Winkle.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home with Bro. John McCord officiating. Burial will follow in the Manse Cemetery, Paint Lick.

Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Combs, Parsons & Collins.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Lunsford, Evan McCord, Chan Combs, Heath Turner, Tom Curtis, Turner Curtis, Winford Starnes, and Brad Curtis.
