Harold Fleenor, 82

Harold Wayne Fleenor passed away Saturday morning at the home of his sister after a long battle with cancer.

He was born in McRoberts, Ky., on Sept. 29, 1930, and passed away on his birthday Sept. 29, 2012.

Harold is survived by: a son, Harold Wayne Fleenor Jr.; a sister, Glenna Faye Foster (Howard); a brother, James (Jim) R. Fleenor (Katie) of Richmond; and a sister-in-law, Lila Fleenor of Grundy, Va.

Harold was the son of the late John Erwin (Bud) and Minnie Banks Fleenor. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: two children, Rachella Kay and Kenneth Wayne Fleenor; two brothers, John Jr., and Robert Monroe (Bobby); and a baby sister, Audrey Jeanice.

Harold was enjoying his retirement from General Electric after over 35 years of service. He was of the Christian faith.

He leaves a host of family and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. at the Schmid Funeral Home in Mt. Washington, Ky., on Tuesday, October 2, 2012.

Russell Edward Thacker, 87, of Richmond passed away Thursday, May 16, 2013, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
He was born April 12, 1926, in Rockcastle County to Charles and Pearl Day Thacker, both of whom preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Hutchinson Thacker, and one daughter, Brenda Kay Dargavell.
