Lavina Fitzpatrick Kelly
Lavina Fitzpatrick Kelly, beloved mother of Margaret Kelly Plotkin, passed away at the age of 86 on July 8 2009.
Mrs. Kelly resided for more than 18 years on Lorraine Court in Berea, and was an active member of White’s Memorial Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Visitation will be Friday July 10, 2009 from 6 to 9 p.m. at Lakes Funeral Home, Berea. Funeral services will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at Lakes Funeral Home with the Rev. Truman Gesslin presiding. Burial will follow in the Lexington Cemetery.
Lavina was married to Arthur Jordan Kelly and lived and worked in Lexington for more than 30 years. She was an avid antique collector and dealer, office manager for J.W. Davis Realtors and Hagyard Davis & McGee Veterinarians, and member of Maxwell Street Presbyterian Church in Lexington.
Ms. Kelly was born in Hazard, Ky. and traveled extensively to Florida, California, Sweden, England, Ireland and Brazil, keeping mountain melody and song alive in the hearts and souls of family and friends everywhere.
She is survived by: her granddaughter, Margath Walker; son-in-law Robert Plotkin; grandnieces Nora (Rick)Thompson, Lynn (Roger) Kelley and Malta (Raymond) Flannery; nieces Johnnie Ann Horn, Johnnie (Lloyd) Anglin and Nannie Margaret (Ed) Blair; nephews Jeremy and Zach Thompson. She was preceded in death by a nephew, Abe Anglin.

Inez Cass McKinney, “Mim,” beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, age 94, died peacefully with her family at her side Saturday, March 13, 2010, in Lexington. She fought a long and courageous battle with COPD. She was born August 26, 1915, in Rockcastle County. She was the daughter of the late Owen R. Cass and Lela Albright Cass. Inez was a long-time resident of Holly Hill Drive in Berea, Ky. She spent her most recent years at McCready Manor in Richmond, Ky, Tanbark Health Care Center in Lexington and Richmond Place Skilled Nursing Center in Lexington.

Keren Margaret Poulter, 43, of Richmond, passed away Friday, March 12, 2010, in Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born in Wombwell, England, on September 27, 1966, and held her Master's degree in social work. She was an employee of the Community Action Council at Millersburg, and attended the First United Methodist Church of Richmond. -

Bonnie Saylor Brock, 82, of Hampton Way in Richmond, Ky., died Sunday.
Local survivors include Mrs. Brock’s daughter, Joyce F. (Samuel P.) Campagna of Richmond.

Michael David Salyer, 62, husband of Hannah M. “Marg” (Sullivan) Salyer of Richmond, passed away Saturday, March 13, 2010, in the Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond.
He was born in Ashland, Ky., May 29, 1947, to the late William Lewis and Opal Eloise (Greene) Salyer. For nearly 16 years, Michael had been the owner and operator of Mike’s Warehouse Liquor in Richmond, and a former employee of A K Steel in Ashland, where he worked for 22 years. -
