Florence Watts, 77, loving wife of Lowell Watts for 59 years, passed away Wednesday July 1, 2009, in the Compassionate Care Center of Richmond.
Florence was a member of the Waco Baptist Church, a graduate of Royalton High School and Eastern Kentucky University. She had been an elementary school teacher for the Magoffin County School System. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Other than her husband, Lowell, she is survived by: two sons, Ken (Lois) Watts and Don (Mary) Watts; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Todd) LeMieux, Tia Lynne (Jeff) White, Kimberlee (Van) Coyle, Daniel Browning and Matthew (Courtney) Browning; six great-grandchildren, Austin Coyle, Nathan LeMieux, Raegan Coyle, Nicholas LeMieux, Parker Coyle and Abby Browning.
She is also survived by: her brothers and sisters, R.C. (Rotha Jean) Owens, Vonda (Clay) Noble, Barry (Shirley) Owens and LaGonda (Mason) Tackett.
Florence was preceded in death by: her parents, John Morgan and Ida Poe Owens; and one daughter, Lynne Watts Browning.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon Friday July 3, 2009, at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Fred Livingood officiating. Burial will follow at Madison Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until noon Friday at the Oldham, Roberts & Powell Funeral Home.
