RICHMOND — Kim Breeding set a new high series score for the women at Galaxy this season with a 616 total in the Classic Doubles League. She also had the high game of the week for men or women with a 251 score.
Billy McGuire bowled the top men’s series of the week at the Galaxy Center with his 672 total in the Galaxy Classic League. Tyler Morgan’s 247 game in the same league led the men for the week.

Galaxy Classic
Billy McGuire and Tyler Morgan turned in the top performances in this league last week.
McGuire bowled the top series, 672, which included the second-highest game, 244.
Morgan rolled the high game, 247, which was part of the second-best series, 658, of the week.
Lewis Jones Jr. (642) and Aaron Rose (606) also reached the 600 series level. Jones Jr. and Neil Haggard just missed the top game score as each rolled a 242 game.
Fourteen men bowled a total of 20 200-level games. These scores are listed with the top scores summary at the end of the column.
Galaxy Girls
Bridget Settles (204) and Narita Rose (193) bowled the top games of the week, while Rose (535) and Lemetta Dause (509) had the top series scores.
Amy Rogers had a season-best series (506), while season-best games were bowled by Donna Fourre (189), Dana Starnes (184) and Brenda Williams (178).
Splits converted included the 4-7-10 by Betty Lou Masters, the 5-7 by Keri Moody, the 6-7 by Carol Bales, the 6-7 by Pauline Denny and the 3-10 by Rita Roberts.
Wednesday Wonders
Three men — Woody Arvin (209), Terry Moses (204) and sub Carl Daniels (200) — reached the coveted 200-score level last week.
Arvin (588) and Mark Rogers (549) rolled the top series scores.
Joan Mott led the women with a season-best 185 game and 473 series. JoAnn Smith had the second-best women’s game with a season-best 162 score, while Sylvia Mink had the second-highest women’s series (452), which included her season-best 161 game.
This league is well-balanced with only four and a half games separating first place from fifth place with three weeks remaining in the fall season.
The Wednesday Wonders will not bowl this week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Classic Doubles
Kim Breeding had a great night as she set a new high series for women in this league and all leagues this season with a 616 total. She also set a new game high for the league with a 251 in the opening game of her series. Breeding previously set the current high game score for the women at Galaxy this season with a 256 game in the Galaxy Classic League.
Kim’s husband, Doug Breeding, had the top men’s game (219) and second-best series (556).
David Robinson had the top men’s series (563), which included the second-best men’s game, 216.
David Canter bowled a season-best 161 game.
This league will take this week off for Thanksgiving.
Early Birds
Karen Kensicki had the highest game (187) and second-highest series (494) last week for the league’s members.
Beverly Shearer bowled the best series (509), while Carroll Hackworth had the second-highest game (181).
Substitute Lemetta Dause bowled a 193 game and 518 series.
This league will not bowl this week because of the Thanksgiving holiday.
Arlington
The top game and series for the week were bowled by Bridget Settles with a 220 game and 535 series.
Tina Hunter had the next-best series (522) and Doris Gish the second-highest game (192) for league members.
Sub Lemetta Dause rolled a 204 game.
Season-best games were bowled by Tina Hunter (184), Margie Isaacs (177) and Fanny Rice (166).
Linda Bowlin converted the 6-7 and the 6-7-10 splits.
Friday Night Mixed
Lewis Jones Jr. bowled the top game (226) and series (561) in this league while his father, Lewis Jones Sr., was second in each category at 210 and 560.
The women were led by Christy Richmond with a 172 game and 438 series with Novel Davis next in line, at 158 and 419.
TGIF
Al McKnight bowled the top series score (526), which included the second-highest game (192), while Merle Meade had the top game (193) and second-highest series (514).
Lemetta Dause had the top women’s game (185) and series (476) while Pat Harris rolled the second-highest women’s series (474) and the second-highest women’s game with a season-best score of 177.
Charles Harris picked up the 6-7 split.
