The Madison Central football team will open the Class 6A Playoffs next weekend in Lexington against Bryan Station.
The Defenders wrapped up the top seed in District 7 with a 25-6 win on the road Friday over North Hardin. Station (8-2) and Scott County (7-3) were tied at the top of the district standings heading into the regular-season finale, but the Cardinals lost at home to Fern Creek, 27-19.
Central finished the regular season last Friday with a 34-17 loss to Clark County.
The loss was the ninth straight for the Indians (0-8).
The rest of the first-round playoff match-ups for District 7/8 include: Dunbar at Clark County, Lafayette at Henry Clay and Tates Creek at Scott County.
