GOLF: Neal blows past the competition

RICHMOND — Richmond’s MacKenzie Neal rolled to a victory Tuesday during a Pepsi Junior Golf Tour event at the Gay Brewer, Jr. Golf Course at Picadome.

Neal shot a +12, 47, and easily beat out her nearest competition to claim the title in the girls 12-and-under division. Sarah Black of Lexington finished second at +19 and Heather Morris of Lexington was third with a +37.

In the boys 15-16 year-old division, Richmond’s Nick Kubala finished tied for 13th, +20, 92.

 

Skipworth takes eighth

Two local golfers competed in the Musselman-Dunne Golf Tour event Monday at the Bowling Green Country Club.

In the boys 15-16 year-old division, Carter Skipworth finished eighth after shooting a +12, 84.

In the championship boys division, Dylan Kelley finished tied for ninth after shooting a +11, 83.
