BOWLING: Two leagues wrap season’s action

RICHMOND — The final two leagues among the ten in action during the fall and winter season at the Galaxy Center finished their seasons April 29.

League members must bowl in at least two-thirds of the season's games to qualify for the top individual awards in a league. Brandon Simpson would have ranked in the top five in each category, but he joined this league late and did not bowl in enough games to be ranked.

Novel Davis took the "triple crown" for the women with a 170 average, 582 series and 241 game.

The best women's averages after Davis were Miranda Rowe 161, Wanda Jones 143, Genny Bryant 141 and Lisa Ball 136.

Completing the top series list were Rowe 570, Jones 505, Gloria Tyler 496 and Ball 495.

The highest games after Davis were bowled by Barbara Brogle 234, Rowe 220, Tyler 214 and Ball 201.

Most improved honors went to Glenn Masters for the men and Shasta Richmond for the women.

Summer Cash Money League

Brandon Simpson led this league last week with a 269 game and 767 series followed by John Hickam at 247 and 666.

Tuesday Night No-Tap
