Five players reached double figures in scoring as Berea College rolled to another easy win Thursday at the Seabury Center.
Tevin Webster had a team-high 18 points as the Mountaineers topped Kentucky Christian University, 94-73. The win was the fifth-straight for Berea College (5-1).
The loss sends KCU to 0-4 on the season.
Deon Banks had 17 points for the Mountaineers, Koty Riley had 16 points on eight-of-10 shooting, while Aaron Ponder and Dominique Garmon each had 10 points.
Harry Cross, Berea’s leading scorer, played only 10 minutes because of an injury and finished with two points.
The Mountaineers led just 50-44 at halftime, but opened the second half on a 17-6 run. Berea shot 57 percent from the field for the game, despite hitting only two-of-14 three-point attempts.
KCU had a three-point lead in the opening minutes and there were three lead changes early before Berea took control.
Rashad Hayden had nine points for Berea and Trent Maddox added six points.
The Mountaineers are back in action at 1 p.m. Saturday against Ohio University-Lancaster at the Seabury Center.
