LITTLE LEAGUE: Twins take title

RICHMOND — This time around, the Twins took care of business.

The Baldwin & Associates Twins wrapped up the championship of the Richmond Little League’s Rookie Coach Pitch Tournament Tuesday with a 10-4 win over the Redi Mart Giants at Lake Reba.

On Monday, the Giants had forced a one-game showdown for the title with an 8-6 victory.

The Twins scored four times in the first and never trailed. The Giants got three runs back in the bottom of the first, but scored only one run the rest of the way.

The Twins added two more runs in the third and four more runs in the fourth.

For the Twins, Brady Hensley was 3-for-3 with three runs scored. Brian Prewitt and Jayden West were both 3-for-3 with two runs scored. Steven Cocalas scored twice and Adam Collier scored once.

For the Giants, Adam Berry scored twice and Olivia Metcalfe scored once.
