RICHMOND —
Football fans will have an opportunity to get a first look at the 2012 Eagles football team and its district opponents during the first ever District Challenge from 4-9 p.m. on Monday at Madison Southern High School.
All six members of Class 5A, District 7 — Southern, Lincoln County, North Laurel, South Laurel, Pulaski County, Southwestern) — are scheduled to compete in the event.
Among the challenges are a 7-on-7 tournament and a Big Man Lineman Challenge, which consists of a fire truck push, tire flips, tire throws, bench competition and tug-o-war.
Traveling trophies will be awarded to the winning teams.
Last year Southern went 2-8 overall and 1-4 in district.
