RICHMOND —
Two local golfers picked up top-10 finishes at the Kentucky PGA Professional Championship on Tuesday.
Eastern Kentucky University golf coach Pat Stephens tied for sixth with a three-under par 141. Stephens shot a 70 on the first 18 holes and 71 on the final round.
Richmond native Patrick Williams was close behind Stephens, placing eighth with a two-under par 142. Williams shot a 69 on the first 18 holes before going one-over par 73 on the final 18 holes.
Blake Watts of New Albany, Ind., won the tournament with a decisive 10-under par 134, topping his closest competition by three strokes. The tournament was played at Harmony Landing Country Club in Goshen on Monday and Tuesday.
