Judge Logue to give Constitution Week address

RICHMOND — On Monday, Sept. 13, Circuit Court Judge Jeanne C. Logue will be the featured speaker the Boonesborough Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, celebrates Constitution Week. The meeting will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall of First Christian Church, Richmond.  

The annual Constitution Week observance is one of several national DAR activities designed to promote historic preservation, education and patriotism. With more than 168,000 members, the national society has grown to become one of the world’s largest and most active service organizations. The local Boonesborough Chapter was organized in 1896.   

Chapter officers recently elected to three-year terms are: Betsy Burch, regent; Carol Rogow, first vice regent; Kathryn Cosby, second vice regent and chaplain;  Ann Ford, recording secretary; Dell Robbins, corresponding secretary; Susan Moberly, treasurer;  Melba Hay, registrar; Laura Steidle, historian, and Alice Jane Ballew, parliamentarian.
