The Madison County Health Department will conduct a walk-in H1N1 influenza clinic at its Richmond location, at 216 Boggs Lane, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The clinic will be open to anyone in the Centers for Disease Control’s target populations, which include:
• Pregnant women
• Household contacts and caregivers for children younger than 6 months old
• Healthcare and emergency medical services personnel
• All people age 6 months old through 24 years old
• Persons ages 25 through 64 who have health conditions associated with higher risk of medical complications from influenza.
Both injections and intranasal (fluMist) vaccine will be available at the Nov. 14 clinic, said Christie Green, health department spokesperson.
