Car stolen from Berea residence

BEREA — A car was reported stolen shortly after midnight Sept. 29 from a Berea home, and the thief also took the vehicle’s navigational unit.

Berea police are investigating the theft of a 2001 Hyundai from a residence in the 100 block of Washington Avenue, said Capt. Ken Clark, Berea Police Department spokesman.

The car had a Global Positioning System navigational unit installed, Clark said.

The car and GPS unit were valued at $2,200.

Berea police also investigated a number of thefts from cars recently, Clark said.
