RICHMOND —
A man made off with a local business’s $5,000 soft drink vending machine last week, according to Richmond police.
The former leaseholder at the Pink Flamingo Laundry, 620 Big Hill Ave., reported Monday that a Coca-Cola soft drink vending machine had been stolen from the premises sometime during the previous four days.
A witness told police that a man was seen loading the machine onto a red pickup truck with a lift gate, the RPD news release stated.
The suspect was described as a 30-year-old white man, about 6 feet, 2 inches tall, 220 pounds, with wavy blond hair.
Food, shotgun stolen from North Hill Street home
A resident in the 400 block of North Hill Street reported Monday that his home had been broken into during the early afternoon. Entry was gained by breaking a rear window.
A Mossberg .410 gauge shotgun and various food items were stolen. The estimated loss was $446.
Burglary reported on Woodford Drive
A resident in the 2000 block of Woodford Drive reported Nov. 27 that her home had been broken into during the day. Entry was gained by breaking the glass in a rear door, according to the RPD.
The stolen items were a Sanyo 32-inch television, an Xbox 360 gaming system, a Nintendo Wii gaming system, a PlayStation 2 gaming system, approximately 90 assorted video games, an iPad, a Kindle reader and a gold heart necklace with the letter K in the middle of the heart.
The estimated loss is $5,529.
