Wreck sends two men to hospitals

Kentucky State Police Troopers work the scene Thursday evening of a 2-vehicle wreck on KY 52 west of Richmond that sent two men to hospitals. According to KSP Trooper Scott King, the driver of a white Subaru Legacy station wagon, Christopher Gill, 17, of Irvine, was transported to University of Kentucky Medical Center with multiple injuries after he went off the right side of the road around 7:45 p.m., over corrected, lost control, crossed the center line and was struck on the passenger side by a Subaru Legacy sedan driven by Jeffrey Hurst, 41, of Berea. Hurst was taken to Pattie A. Clay Regional Medical Center with what King said appeared to be non-life threatening injuries. The road was closed for about an hour while emergency workers investigated the scene.
