RICHMOND —
A convicted sex-offender who has lived in Madison County for about three months was arrested Friday for allegedly failing to comply with registration requirements, said Richmond Police Chief Larry Brock.
Mark A. Kuhn, 27, of Wisconsin, was residing on Collins Drive off W. Main Street in Richmond when officers received a tip that he was a sex offender who had failed to register after moving to Kentucky, Brock said.
“It was subsequently determined that Kuhn had been in the Madison County area since late March 2011 and had not made any efforts to register as a sex offender,” the chief said.
Kuhn was arrested at his home and lodged in the Madison County Detention Center.
Michigan man charged with drug trafficking
A Michigan man was arrested Wednesday in Richmond after police searched the home where he was staying and found several drugs, according to Shirl Cross of the Central Kentucky Area Drug Task Force.
Terry Colbert, 45, was charged with trafficking oxycodone, Vicodin (a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone) and Xanax. Officers of the CKADTF and Madison County Sheriff's Department, who searched Colbert’s home, also seized several handguns and $5,000 cash, Cross said.
Endangering
Minor Charges
A Friday-night domestic dispute led to a couple being charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, Brock said.
Police charged Charles Neal, 28, and Paula Dean, 24, both of Keri Ann Court, after responding to a report of a disturbance, Brock said.
Officers determined that Neal and Dean “were both intoxicated to a level that would impair their ability to care for the minor children in the home,” Brock said.
Neal was charged with fourth-degree assault and endangering a minor, the chief said.
Dean was cited to court for the violation and the 6-month-old and five-year-old children were released to an adult relative, Brock said.
