Villa Drive resident reports burglary

RICHMOND — A resident in the 900 block of Villa Drive reported Monday that his apartment had been broken into during the previous two days and several items, worth a total of $3,600, were stolen.

Entry was gained by forcing open the rear door, according to the RPD.

The stolen items were an Ibanez electric bass guitar, a black Sony 32-inch LCD television, a black Sony 17-inch laptop computer, a black Sony PlayStation 2 gaming system and an unknown brand single-shot shotgun, unknown gauge.

Other crime:

• A representative of TruCheck Metering Solutions, Clay Drive, reported Wednesday that several items were stolen from one of the company trucks during the previous two days.

There were no signs of forced entry, according to the RPD.

The missing items, worth a total of $315, were a blue insulated Klein screwdriver, a pair of yellow Proctor outer glove, a pair of yellow Salisbury insulated gloves, a glove bag, a brown Carhartt work coat and a Wright gas card.

• A resident in the 400 block of Big Hill Avenue reported Dec. 19 that several items were stolen from his parked vehicle during the night.

The stolen items were three Dewalt cordless drills, two Dewalt sawzalls, two Estwing framing hammers, four Dewalt battery chargers, eight Dewalt batteries and two personal checkbooks.

The estimated loss is $1,130.

Three Richmond thefts reported Tuesday-Thursday
Richmond police are investigating thefts reported from Tuesday through Thursday.
An employee of Baptist Health, Eastern Bypass, reported Thursday that her vehicle had been broken into during the evening and a small shoulder purse was stolen. The purse contained several debit/credit cards, $70 in cash, and a Pantech slider cellular telephone. Estimated loss: $595.

Court hearing reveals errors in trafficking case’s investigative file
A discrepancy in police records led to an unusual hearing in a drug trafficking case Thursday in Madison Circuit Court.
The attorney for 49-year-old Carla Rae Clontz made a motion earlier this month for a bill of particulars hearing.
