RICHMOND —
The driver of a vehicle who was severely injured in a Thursday auto accident on the Robert R. Martin Bypass was in critical condition Friday evening at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
Charles K. Turner, 49, was westbound on the bypass at about 2:35 p.m. Thursday when he turned left onto Four Mile Road and was hit by an oncoming utility truck driven by Kasey Walls of Hustonville, according to the Richmond police officer who investigated the accident.
Both vehicles had a green light, and no citations were issued in connection with the accident, the officer said.
The passenger’s side of Turner’s vehicle took the brunt of the impact, but he was still seriously injured and transported directly to the Lexington hospital which operates a regional trauma center. Walls was uninjured.

Splashing around in Paradise
