RICHMOND —
The owner of a vacant apartment building in the 800 block of Barnes Mill Road reported Monday that several of the apartments had been broken into and damaged, according to a Richmond Police news release.
In two of the apartments, the A-coil from the air conditioning unit was taken, and in two others, electrical wiring had been pulled from the walls, the release stated.
A breaker box was taken from one of the apartments, and another breaker box was stolen from the crawlspace area.
The estimated damage and loss is $6,550.
Other thefts:
• A complainant told police Monday that a black Oakley backpack and navy-blue and black Toshiba laptop computer had been stolen from his unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 300 block of High Street. The stolen items are worth $880.
• A resident in the 200 block of Keystone Drive reported Tuesday that his home had been unlawfully entered during the early evening and several items, worth a total of $3,989, were taken. The items include a Sanyo 42-inch LED television, a Sony PlayStation 3, a Sony Dual Shock controller, a small DVD player, six PlayStation 3 games and 70 assorted DVDs.
• A resident of an apartment in the 700 block of Marietha Drive reported Sunday that a blue Nintendo DS gaming system worth $100 had been stolen from her home on an unknown date.
