RICHMOND —
A local contracting business reported Monday that work equipment had been stolen from a company vehicle.
A representative of Davis H. Elliott contractors told police the truck had been parked overnight on Transport Circle, according to an RPD news release.
The items reported stolen, worth a total of $300, were a gray, fiberglass ladder along with several small ropes and ratchet straps.
Other thefts:
• A resident in the 9000 block of Landon Lane reported Monday that a Generac generator, worth $700, had been stolen from underneath his back porch sometime during the past month.
• A complainant told police Sunday that her vehicle had been broken into during the night while it was parked at the Galaxy Bowling complex on Amberly Way. The driver’s side door lock and locked glove compartment were damaged, according to the RPD.
The missing items, worth a total of $685, were a Garmin GPS unit, a gray Fox racing zip-up sweatshirt, $255 in cash, a pair of sterling silver ball earrings, two iPhone chargers, a blue prepaid AT&T cell phone, a personal checkbook and numerous personal identification documents.
• A representative of Village Green reported Sept. 10 that an unoccupied residence in the 700 block of Amanda Court had been broken into sometime during the previous three days and the heating and air conditioning unit was stolen. Entry was gained by breaking a bedroom window, according to the RPD.
A Trane 2-ton heating and air conditioning unit, worth $5,400, was stolen along with both the interior air handler and the exterior heat pump.
